Patrick is the CEO of Abilene Partners. Over the course of his career, he has worked with organizations of all sizes, providing both strategic financial guidance and hands-on accounting support tailored to each client’s needs. His expertise spans financial operations, business strategy, budgeting, and audit and tax support.

As the firm’s founder, Patrick has played a central role in shaping Abilene’s approach to outsourced accounting. He partners closely with clients to balance big-picture strategy with the practical demands of day-to-day financial management. Under his leadership, the firm has built a reputation for delivering reliable, high-quality accounting services that help clients focus on their missions and goals.

Outside of work, Patrick and his wife Danielle are avid travelers and are steadily working their way through an extensive “to-do” list of destinations around the world.

Mara is the Managing Director at Abilene Partners, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She has built her career around human-centered program design, operations, and financial management, with a deep commitment to supporting mission-driven organizations.

She began her professional journey as an educator, designing social justice programming to meet the needs of vulnerable communities in the Bay Area. Since then, Mara has served in executive leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Director, and Interim Executive Director. These experiences give her a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities nonprofits face across both programming and operations.

At Abilene, Mara partners with clients to strengthen financial leadership and foster effective communication between program and operations teams. She is passionate about building relationships, networks, and connections that create healthier, more transparent, and more productive organizations.

Jenn is the Director of Accounting Services at Abilene Partners and has dedicated much of her career to strengthening the financial health of nonprofit organizations. She began her work in nonprofit accounting in the late 1990s and quickly recognized the gap in access to high-quality, affordable accounting services for small nonprofits. This insight led her to provide financial consulting to human services organizations in the Bay Area for more than a decade.

After a period working in the for-profit sector, Jenn is excited to return to the nonprofit financial space, where her passion lies. At Abilene, she leads client accounting services with a focus on delivering the reliable, tailored support that nonprofits need to thrive. She is especially proud to be part of a firm that continues to fill the need she identified early in her career.

Outside of work, Jenn enjoys live music, festivals, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She also loves being outdoors and has found San Francisco’s climate to be the perfect balance for her lifestyle.

Lisa has more than 25 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a career that has included roles in both corporate and nonprofit sectors. She first entered the field through finance work at a gourmet food brokerage, where she spent 11 years before moving fully into accounting.

Lisa has been with Abilene Partners since its founding and has spent the past 11 years helping to shape the firm’s success. As the Director of Client Accounting, she manages client accounts and staff, leads day-to-day client operations, and serves as the primary point of contact for onboarding new clients. As lead client communicator, she plays a key role in delivering value to clients and supporting the growth of Abilene’s accounting team.

She is especially proud of the firm’s work with nonprofit organizations, finding purpose in supporting their missions while also enjoying the collaborative spirit of a close-knit team.
