Patrick Teixeira

Patrick Teixeira
CEO & Managing Director

Patrick is the CEO of Abilene Partners, and is the Managing Director of our Finance and Accounting Services practice. Patrick provides hands-on accounting and financial support to numerous businesses; offering customized services — from high level, strategic support to handling day-to-day management. Patrick specializes in financial operations, strategy, budgeting and audit and tax support.

Patrick holds a B.S.B.A in Finance from Sonoma State University, is an associate (non-CPA) member of the AICPA, and a professional member of the Institute of Management Accountants.

In his free time, Patrick and his wife Danielle are working their way down through an extensive travel “to-do” list.

Mara Kassoff

Mara Kassoff
Director of CFO & Strategic Services

Mara is the Director of Strategic and CFO Services at Abilene Partners. She has 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, specializing in human-centered program design, operations, and financial management. Mara began her career as an educator, with a focus on designing social justice programming to meet the needs of Bay Area vulnerable communities. Her experience as an executive leader includes previous positions as Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Director, and Interim Executive Director. Mara believes that relationships are everything  and that networks and connections are key to creating healthy, transparent, and productive organizations. Bringing a human-centered approach to the operations side of nonprofit organizations, Mara is uniquely positioned to provide nonprofits of all sizes with tools and coaching that create effective and efficient communications between the programming and operations sides of any organization.

Jenn Marks
Director of Client Accounting Services

Jenn is the Director of Client Accounting Services at Abilene Partners. She began her career in nonprofit accounting in the late 90’s. While working as Director of Finance for a $5M organization and watching the political landscape change, she realized that small nonprofits had a need for quality affordable accounting services that was not being met. As such, she began providing financial consulting services for a handful of human services nonprofits in the Bay Area for more than a decade. She is excited to be returning to the world of nonprofit financials after a stint in the for-profit world, and is even more excited that Abilene is filling the need that she identified so long ago and that continues to exist.

Jenn graduated from the University of Delaware with a BS in Accounting. When Jenn isn’t working, you can probably find her out at a music venue or a festival. She also enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and spending time outdoors, but she does not like the cold or the heat.  San Francisco has the perfect weather for her and she hopes to always have a permanent base in this city.
